Careful in the Snow!

Now that old man winter has arrived, the JHSSF reminds shooters to especially remember the second rule of gun safety:  ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot!

Slipping on ice or snow and involuntarily “clutching” the gun can be dangerous, so let’s all be careful and stay safe!  🙂

2014 Turkey Shoot in Jackson Hole

Join us the afternoon after Thanksgiving Day for our Third Annual .22 Caliber Turkey Shoot!  

(No real turkeys will be injured or killed)

  • November 28, 2014
  • 2pm to 4pm  (Gates open at 1:50pm & shooter registration closes at 2:10pm, so please arrive on time!)
  • JHGC
  • Chili & Cornbread catered by Chef Kiley Campbell!

$20/person covers range fees, loaner eye & ear protection, 50 rounds of .22 caliber ammo, chili & hot drinks and use of one of our rifles if you choose!  Donations of more $ gratefully accepted!

Those handling firearms will be expected to practice exemplary safe-handling skills!

Stages will include:

Bench-rest on paper targets at 25 yards

Standing at 25 yards

“Hunter’s Challenge” (at 50 yards?)

Turkey Silhouette at 25 yards

JHSSF 22 caliber rifles available for use!
